About four families, including Hispanics, were left homeless after a raging fire consumed part of a row of houses in Reading, Pennsylvania.

The crash was reported this past Sunday afternoon in the 1000 block of North 11th Street.

“No job or anything. We are practically with nothing,” said Miguel López, one of those affected, to which another of the neighbors, Brianna López, added “very horrible, because something so traumatizing had never happened.”

Mayor Eddie Morán said that “the entire community is thinking of the four families that unfortunately lost everything.”

No injuries were reported in the emergency.

The four residences were inhabited by 15 adults and three children, according to Fire Chief Jeremy Searfoss, and the cause of the fire could take weeks to determine.

The residents of the house where the incident is believed to have started, attribute it to a failure in the washer or dryer.

While the American Red Cross offers assistance to the victims.
