HUBEN: On July 9th, after a two-year break, it was finally that time again for the fire brigades. 43 groups accepted the invitation and met for the 48th wet performance competition in Huben in Ötztal. With bright sunshine and a perfectly organized event, the Florianis were able to demonstrate their skills from 8:00 a.m.
Parallelbewerb:
At the end, the eight best groups from the district had the chance to compete again in a parallel competition. Tarrenz 1-Niederthai 2-Haiming-Tarrenz 3-Tumpen-Huben i.Ö.-Längenfeld 2- and Längenfeld Gries 1 qualified for the parallel competition.
After the exciting duels, Tarrenz 1 and Haiming were in the final, which Tarrenz 1 won.
Closing event:
After the parade with the Huben band, the final event with the award ceremony took place at the competition site. In addition to the state fire department Kdt. Peter Hölzl, Mayor Richard Grüner, Vice BM Lukas Holzknecht could Bez.Fw. Kdt. Hubert Fischer welcome numerous executives of the volunteer fire brigade. In the speeches there were words of praise for the organiser, the volunteer fire brigade Huben, the evaluation team, the calculation committee, but also thanks to the participating groups, who sacrifice a large part of their free time for volunteering and such events, could be heard again and again ( bek).
