2023-08-06 17:38:00

This Sunday, firefighters from the Hemeco and Hesbaye areas intervened more than a dozen times to clear trees that were obstructing the roads following gusts of wind and rain that fell on the region.

Calls for help began in the morning and continued until early evening. Firefighters from the Hemeco zone intervened from Villers-le-Bouillet to Tinlot.

Firefighters in the Hesbaye area also had three interventions of the same type. A tree fell on rue de Sart, in front of the Marneffe prison, in Berloz, but also in Ambresin in the town of Wasseige.

This last intervention began shortly before 5 p.m. rue de la Tombale. A tree fell on the electric cables and required the intervention of the Resa company and a cutting carried out by the men of the fire.
