Earlier, US Acting Under Secretary for Political Affairs John Bass arrived in Islamabad yesterday on a 2-day visit, the purpose of his visit is to discuss bilateral relations and common regional security interests.
John Bass will be the first senior US official to visit Islamabad after the February 8 elections.
In a statement, the US State Department said Under Secretary John Bass’ agenda includes meetings with senior Pakistani officials to address regional and bilateral issues under the US-Pakistan Partnership Framework.
