that the Andalusian lefts manage to park their differences and joining together in a joint candidacy -whether it is called a broad front or not- seems today to be much more than complicated. Not only because of the slam of the door by Teresa Rodríguez’s Anticapitalistas -already elected as a candidate for the Board-, but also because even within the alliance between United Left and Podemos in Andalusia there are fissures and friction. The last crack in United We Can has the name of civil guard and deputy for Cádiz in Congress, Juan Antonio Delgado and it is the bet of Podemos for a candidacy for the Presidency of the Board that, on paper, has not even been addressed. A promotional video spread on social networks, first, and the blessing, later, of the head of Civil Society of Podemos, Nico Sguiglia, has caused a “deep discomfort” within the United Left, as this newspaper has learned from coalition sources. So much so that the “civil guard, Andalusian and leftist” -as he promoted himself in the video- slipped into the meeting this Saturday that the Coordinating Commission of IU, the highest body between assembliesheld virtually and in which, according to some of those present, the regional coordinator himself, Tony Valero He described the initiative of his Podemos partners as a “mistake.” Although from the outside Valero insisted on his call to build a “broad front that exceeds the current political space without leaving anyone behind,” complaints abounded in the Coordinating Commission towards the attitude of the purple partners, which is cracking, sources said. UI, the “framework” and the trust relationship between the two parties. Above all, they explained these sources, because in IU they are very aware of what happened in the last electionswhen the militancy opted for Antonio Maíllo as a candidate and he resigned in favor of Theresa Rodriguez. They fear that, as then, Podemos will prevail and Izquierda Unida will not assert the important territorial power it has in the community, light years away from the party led by Ione Belarra. The joint application under the brand United We Can for Andalusia is not in question and, in fact, when voting for the political report de Valero, the support was almost unanimous, but the malaise is notable in Izquierda Unida because “it rains it pours.” These same sources emphasized that the broad front promoted by Vice President Yolanda Díaz is “stalled” and in Andalusia it is no longer possible. Despite everything, Valero asked for “boldness to pull down partitions and expand the political space” and evoked the “generosity” of Julio Anguita to promote IU-CA.
