Floods in Dubai the result of tampering with nature for artificial rains? – World

Heavy rains wreaked havoc in many cities of the United Arab Emirates yesterday, during more than 6 hours of rain, roads, malls and other public places including the International Airport were affected by rainwater.

However, foreign media have now reported that the rain in the UAE was the result of artificial rainfall attempts.

The Government of the United Arab Emirates has harnessed the science of rainfall for this artificial rainfall project by the National Center of Meteorology of the UAE Meteorological Department in collaboration with NASA and the National Center for Atmospheric Research. This project has been worked on.

In this regard Experts of the National Center of Meteorology had to say in a conversation with the Arab media That cloud seeding operation has been used in the last 24 hours, experts said that whenever there are clouds in the sky, we perform this cloud seeding operation, in the last 2 days we have completed 6 trips in this regard.

On the other hand, the Deputy Director General of the National Center of Meteorology, Umar Al-Yazidi, rejected the circulating speculations and said that There is no cloud seeding of any kind for rains in Dubai.

Dr. Ahmed Habib of NCM told Khaleej Times that Extreme weather conditions were not the result of cloud seeding, No pilot was sent for the cloud seeding operation

According to the sources, the salt flares attracted by the scientists to the water are released with nanoparticles of salt, which then increases the amount of precipitation in the clouds.

Sources further said that cloud seeding increases the rainfall rate by 10 to 30 percent annually. On the other hand, British University meteorologist Edward Graham says that the salt used in cloud seeding does not harm the environment.

After UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iran have also expressed interest in this project.
