The pilot of a plane from Montreal (Canada) bound for Cuba has been forced to make an emergency landing at the Jacksonville International Airport, in Florida, after detecting a fire in one of the cargo holds.

The aircraft of the Canadian airline Off We Go (OWG), with 159 people on board, made the maneuver without causing damage to the passengers or the crew, reported the News4Jax television station.

Jacksonville Fire Rescue teams responded to the airport after receiving a report of a fire in the cargo hold of a Boeing 737-400.

However, the plane’s fire suppression system was able to douse the flames before it landed.

A few days ago, a Red Air company plane, with 126 passengers, from the Dominican Republic, caught fire when landing at Miami International Airport, fortunately without fatalities, however, three people were reported injured, as reported by REPORTUR.us (Video – Plane burns in Miami with 126 passengers).
