The Fontaine map will expand in Genshin Impact update 4.6. According to a recent leak, a region called “Kapim” will be released in Genshin Impact 4.6. In case you didn’t know, Fontaine is known for its abundance of water, having several explorable underwater areas.

While a new area of Fontaine was revealed for a future expansion in update 4.6, previous versions of the game will feature two more new areas, a major lore-related event, and new characters, of course. On the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit, user “ukrisreng” shared screenshots showing a leak from “Videre”, where the launch of the Fontaine expansion with the new Kapim region in Genshin Impact 4.6 is mentioned. According to the leak, the new location is expected to debut in early 2024.

Even though no other information has been revealed about the “Kapim” region of Fontaine, players are talking about the possibility of gaining access to the “Ruins of Remuria”, which were featured in the Fontaine book series. Others said that Kapim will be another underground section with several golem enemies. In Kapim’s conceptual art it is possible to see that the place looks like Sumeru’s Enkanomiya, with archipelagos, ruins and plants.

Kapim’s concept art suggests that the location will be an underwater region, as there is a character who appears to be swimming.
