Murat Yakin will not upset his team this Tuesday (8:45 p.m.) in St. Gallen. The Swiss coach has chosen to make a single change in his starting XI to challenge the Czech Republic in the final match of the League of Nations.

Compared to the holders lined up during the victory in Spain (2-1) on Saturday, only Fabian Schär makes his entrance. He overcomes the suspension of Manuel Akanji, the hero of Zaragoza (a goal and an assist). The St. Gallen defender will logically be associated with Nico Elvedi, to reform the central defense which had been aligned during the first match in Prague at the beginning of June, during which Switzerland lost 2-1.

For the rest, the Swiss eleven is identical to that of Saturday. Thus, Silvan Widmer and Ricardo Rodriguez (who will celebrate his 100th selection) will occupy the corridors of defense. In the middle, Granit Xhaka will have Djibril Sow and Remo Freuler with him. No Denis Zakaria therefore, which one could have imagined being aligned.

Finally, the offensive sector will have to be animated by the trio Xherdan Shaqiri-Breel Embolo-Ruben Vargas. Haris Seferovic will thus start on the bench. Switzerland will need a point if they intend to stay in League A for the next edition of the League of Nations which will take place in 2024-25.

On the Czech side, the team lined up by coach Jaroslav Silhavy includes the presence of the two West Ham players Vladimir Coufal and Tomas Soucek, as well as attacking elements Antonin Barak (Fiorentina) and Patrik Schick (Bayer Leverkusen). The latter two were absent in the first leg.
