This Thursday, the Investigative Police arrested four people for their alleged involvement in the death of Matías Vallarinoa 22-year-old died at the hands of neighbors after being mistaken for an assailant in the commune of Florida.
The victim’s mother Cecilia Walther, spoke with DNA where he assured that the neighbors involved in this case must pay, affirming that they are the criminals. “They have to pay and justice will be done. Let’s get to the lastthey are adult people and they made decisions as adults”, he pointed out.

“They were cruel. My son and the other boy ran away from some criminals and they were the criminals. I don’t know what was better, that they were assaulted and left, they would still be alive. For me, the neighbors are criminals, they decided to kill him,” he added.

After knowing the fact, the Minister of Justice, Marcela Ríospointed out regarding the murder of the young man in Florida that “as a society we cannot remain with our arms crossed, we have to take charge from the State in generating a sense of greater security for the communities“.
“We ask communities and society for an adequate reaction and to use the appropriate channels in the face of crime.“, he added.
