According to a study, in which 420 cities from 89 different countries were taken into account, the prestigious Forbes magazine chose Malaga as the best city in the world as an alternative to large capitals. Malaga would be the best city in the world, above Barcelona in the case of Spain for visits, vacations or to settle there.

The article, titled Explore This Map Of The World’s Best Alternative Capital Cities, places Malaga above other major European and global cities such as Lyon (France), Split (Croatia), Casablanca (Morocco), Munich (Germany), Osaka (Japan) and Vancouver (Canada).
