The Meteorological Authority has set the date for heavy rains, which are sometimes thunderous, explaining that the next Sunday and Monday may witness moderate to heavy rains with an incidence of 70% on areas of the northern coasts, northern Lower Egypt, the Canal cities, and northern Sinai.
It stated in a statement that there will be a state of instability in weather conditions over the north of the country, up to northern Upper Egypt and Sinai, accompanied by rain of varying intensity and sometimes thunderstorms, with a drop in temperature with values ranging from 2 to 3 degrees Celsius, and active winds in some areas.
She pointed out that Monday will witness moderate to heavy rains falling on areas of northern Lower Egypt, the northeastern coasts, and central Sinai, sometimes with thunderstorms at intermittent intervals.
Sunday and Monday will witness a state of turmoil in maritime navigation in the Mediterranean, in addition to wind activity on areas of the northern and southern coasts at intermittent intervals.
