On the 23rd of May, Tuesday, the short course “How to calculate the sales price and analyze costs” will be given. The training is online and free for managers, industry employees and university students across the country who are interested in this topic.

Participants will learn to discriminate and determine all the costs involved in the price composition of an industry’s product mix, such as MOD (direct labor) and CIF (indirect manufacturing costs), among others. They will also see, in a practical way, how to calculate the apportionment of structural and operational costs between the company’s sectors and add the desired profit margin to reach a correct pricing of the worked products.

Online classes will be available at 10 am, but can be attended at the most opportune time for students. In addition to the video material, consisting of a presentation of concepts and application in a real ERP industrial management software, participants will have access to a spreadsheet created to exercise and expand their knowledge.

According to production engineer and specialist in implementation projects, Jhonatan Cunha, it is important that subscribers see realistic day-to-day examples in the industry and that they can train to reinforce what they have learned, even those who do not have access to an ERP system , through spreadsheet.

“Cost control is a big challenge for many factories, regardless of the size of the company, because it involves many variables, especially when it comes to non-series products. Finding this out in the right way can be decisive for the profitability and growth of the business”, highlighted Jhonatan. “We want to encourage the qualification and updating of those who work in the industrial segment, mainly to keep up with the digitization that impacts factories today”, added the engineer.

This mini-course is part of the “II Week of Industrial Management in Practice” (SGIP), a completely free event with a schedule of five training sessions given by engineers from the technology company for factories Nomus. Between May 22nd and 26th, in addition to the short course on sales price formation and costs, others will also be available, daily, at 10 am. They are: “Creating product engineering”; “PCP: what you need to know”; “How to schedule production” and “Efficient stock control”.

At the end of the SGIP, students who complete the five short courses, which are organized on the Academia Nomus distance learning platform, will receive a certificate.
