Kim Tae-woo, former mayor of Gangseo-gu, Seoul, will run as a candidate for the People Power Party in the Gangseo-gu mayor by-election to be held on the 11th of next month.

The People Power Party Nomination Management Committee (Public Affairs Committee) announced the results of the primary at the National Assembly on the 17th. Former district mayor Kim beat rival candidates Kim Jin-seon, chairman of the party council Kang Seo-byeong, and former Seoul city lawmaker Kim Yong-seong in the primary, which was conducted with a 50% survey of party members and 50% survey of general voters.
