Berlin – Former German boxing champion René Weller died on Tuesday at the age of 69. His wife Maria confirmed a corresponding report by the “Bild” newspaper to the German Press Agency on Wednesday night. Weller had much success as an amateur and professional boxer. The “beautiful René” is remembered mainly because of his extravagant performances.
