Alcides José Goitia Chirinos, former mayor of Punto Fijo, died this Saturday morning following the vehicle in which he was traveling collided with a light pole.
The incident occurred in the El Oasis sector, Los Taques municipality of the Paraguaná Peninsula, Falcón state.
Goitia Chirinos was a professor and activist of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (Psuv), he served as mayor of the Carirubana municipality for four periods from 2004 to 2021.
