The emptyvessel studio is made up of veterans of the video game industry. Ambitious, two former members of Naughty Dog join this new creative adventure.
The video game industry is experiencing many waves of layoffs. Also affected by this phenomenon, Naughty Dog employees were removed from their positions, in addition to the notable departures of Evan Wells and Jonathan Benainous.
To compensate for this, developers are making the decision to create new studios. One of the latest is emptyvesselwhich was launched at the start of 2024. Based in Texas, United States, and supervised by Emmanuel Paladic and Garrett Young, it brings together industry veterans specializing in the field of immersive shooting games. Among them are former members of the red-legged studio.
Former members of Naughty Dog at emptyvessel
The emptyvessel group is made up of professionals from recognized studios such as Id Software (Doom), Activision (Call of Duty), et Naughty Dog. Together, they aim to create innovative games, marked by their creative touch.
Two former members of the Dogs then joined the ship. It is Rico Floresanimation director, and Colin Thomas, responsible for the characters. Previously, they were able to work on two flagship licenses from the Californian studio: The Last of Us et Uncharted. With nearly fifteen years of experience in the industry, they will contribute to the quality of emptyvessel’s productions.
