The budget surplus reached more than 16.8 billion DH at the end of March 2024, compared to a surplus of 6.2 billion DH during the same period a year earlier, according to the situation of Treasury expenses and resources revealed by the General Treasury of the Kingdom (TGR).

This surplus takes into account a positive balance of 21.8 billion DH generated by the special Treasury accounts (CST) and the autonomously managed State services (SEGMA), indicates the TGR in its monthly statistics bulletin. public finances. In detail, gross ordinary revenues increased by 11.7% to 94.9 billion DH, driven by the 11.7% increase in direct taxes, 6.9% in customs duties, 6.6 % of indirect taxes, 9.1% of registration and stamp duties and 35.2% of non-tax revenue. For their part, ordinary expenditure issued amounted to 75.7 billion DH, down 4.2% compared to the end of March 2023. Thus, the ordinary balance recorded at the end of March 2024 was positive by 19.13 billion DH.
