Former White House adviser admits Trump’s attempted interference in Venezuela

John Bolton, former White House Security Adviser, confessed to having “helped” plan coups in different countries. Among them, having participated in an attempted coup once morest the Venezuelan government between 2018 and 2019. The American diplomat – who held a position in the Executive of Donald Trump – did not blush to recognize the interference of the United States in the internal affairs of other nations and added that “a lot of work is needed” to overthrow a government and take power from a country.

During a broadcast for CNN on Tuesday, July 12, the former executive disagreed with presenter Jake Tapper, who said that “you don’t have to be brilliant to attempt a coup.”

Not agreeing with what was expressed by the also former US ambassador to the United Nations, journalist Jake Tapper pointed out that “one does not have to be brilliant to attempt a coup.” It was there that Bolton defined himself as a specialist in overthrowing foreign governments.

“I don’t agree with that,” Bolton said, as seen in the video. “As someone who has helped plan a coup, not here, but in other places, a lot of work needs to be done. And that’s not what he did. He was just stumbling from one idea to another,” he confessed.

In turn, he criticized the work of former president Donald Trump, his former boss, for doing all the work he alluded to in his past conspiracies.

“He was just tumbling from one idea to another,” Bolton said of Trump. “In the end, he unleashed the rioters at the capitol. As for that, there is no doubt.”
