The first morning of winter testing took place in Bahrain, and it was Max Verstappen who set the best time of the morning in 1’32.959. He was ahead of Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon, who was the most diligent in track with 74 laps.
The three leaders of the morning approached or exceeded the 400 kilometer mark, which already shows impressive reliability. Guanyu Zhou is fourth ahead of George Russell, Nico Hülkenberg and Felipe Drugovich, who was able to set a time despite a mechanical problem at the start of the session. He exceeded 40 laps covered.
Yuki Tsunoda, Pierre Gasly and Oscar Piastri complete the ranking. This afternoon, only Verstappen will continue at the wheel, the other nine drivers giving way to their teammate.
