Formula 1 fans can look forward to Spielberg at least until 2030
Curious: For Spielberg it is the second contract extension within a few months. A new contract until 2027 was only signed in March. This has now been prematurely extended by another three years.
“I am happy to announce this news together with our excellent partners in Austria,” explains Stefano Domenicali, who dedicated the new contract to Red Bull boss Dietrich Mateschitz, who died in 2022.
“The vision and passion of Dietrich Mateschitz, a man who loved the sport, made this all possible and it is a very special moment and tribute to him that we can confirm that we will be racing in this incredible place until 2030 drive,” said Domenicali.
“The race in Austria is a big favorite for our drivers and all of our fans, and we look forward to many years of excitement and action ahead of us,” said the Formula 1 boss. The new Red Bull boss Oliver Mintzlaff adds: “This is good news for everyone involved.”

Red Bull brought the Austrian Grand Prix back onto the Formula 1 calendar in 2014 after the race had last been held in 2003. Since then, Spielberg has been on the calendar regularly – sometimes even twice.
During the Corona years 2020 and 2021, two races were held on the Red Bull Ring, one of them as the “Grand Prix of Styria”. In addition to Formula 1, MotoGP has also been driving in Spielberg since 2016.
