An Anderlechtois pocketed 1.5 million euros in the Lotto, the National Lottery said on Friday. The winner had been playing in bookstores for 40 years.
“Our lucky winner will be able to take advantage of his pension without depriving himself and tells us that he plans to buy a new apartment in town”, declares the Lottery. Apparently, it wouldn’t be the first time that a player has won a nice sum in this Anderlecht bookstore. A gain recorded in it would have already reached 72,000 euros.
This year, the Lotto celebrates its 45th anniversary, which represents more than 4,000 draws and nearly 900 millionaires. Thanks to players’ bets, the National Lottery reinvests 345 million euros each year “in a wide variety of societal, humanitarian, scientific, cultural and sporting projects”.
