Four-party presidential candidates register today… Interview with Lee Jeju-joong and former Vice President Pence

Candidates from the ruling and opposition parties will officially register with the National Election Commission as the 20th presidential candidates today (13th).

Democratic Party candidate Lee Jae-myung, People’s Strength Yoon Seok-yeol, and Justice Party candidate Shim Sang-jung announced that their representatives will visit the Central Election Commission in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi-do, and submit applications for registration of presidential candidates at 9 am today.

At the same time, candidate Ahn Cheol-soo of the People’s Party will personally visit the National Election Commission to register as a presidential candidate and hold a special press conference.

Two days before the start of the official election campaign, Candidate Jae-myung Lee visits the Jeju 4.3 Peace Park memorial this morning and announces the Jeju regional promise, and visits Seogwipo Maeil Olle Market in the afternoon.

Candidate Seok-Yeol Yoon meets with former US Vice President Mike Pence this afternoon to discuss a wide range of agendas, including strengthening the ROK-US alliance and repatriating the remains of North Korean defectors and US soldiers.

Candidate Sang-Jeong Shim meets with counselors visiting the 129 Health and Welfare Call Center to hear their grievances, and Candidate Cheol-Soo Ahn visits Busan to hold a meeting with officials from the fishery industry.
