“Solidarity mechanism” is political protection racket – reform contradicts current Dublin III rules
Linz (OTS) – “Too little, too late,” says deputy state governor and FPÖ state party chairman Dr. Manfred Haimbuchner summed up his criticism of the so-called EU asylum reform: “Today the European Union has primarily presented a mafia model for extorting protection money for all those states that do not want to take part in the forced distribution of illegal migrants.”
Detaining migrants with a low probability of staying at the EU’s external border is also window dressing, explains the deputy. FPÖ federal party chairman: “In practice, a high percentage of Syrians, Afghans, Somalis, etc. are granted asylum – i.e. exactly those people who, statistically speaking, pose a disproportionate security risk.” In any case, this lazy asylum compromise is not in the least suitable for to stop the ongoing flow of illegal migrants, emphasizes Haimbuchner. Especially since self-imposed rules such as Dublin III have not been adhered to in the past.
Rejections at external and internal borders required
“We want an end to the infiltration of illegals into our homeland. “No slowing or distribution of the flow of migrants,” said the Upper Austrian FPÖ chairman. Such a turning point is only possible through consistent rejection at the EU’s external and internal borders. Anyone who cannot present valid documents to enter Europe must be turned away at the border. “As long as this is not the case, criminal gangs and smugglers disguised as sea rescuers will continue to decide who comes to Europe and who does not. “The almost daily spiral of terror of rapes and knife attacks against the local population continues to turn,” concludes Haimbuchner.
