Vienna (OTS) – “New taxes in these times of massive inflation are an ‘absolute no-go’.” With these words, FPÖ club chairman deputy and social spokeswoman NAbg. Dagmar Belakowitsch commented today on the green Minister of Health’s considerations of wanting to earn the money for 500 panel doctors from a millionaire’s tax .
“At the end of April, the green Vice-Chancellor called for an inheritance tax disguised as a ‘millionaire’s tax’. In truth, the Greens only want to tap into the wealth of Austrian medium-sized businesses that has been saved and has already been taxed several times – in view of this record inflation, every home builder will soon be a millionaire – Kogler and Rauch are simply not down-to-earth,” says Belakowitsch.
“Actually, Health Minister Rauch only needs to implement the six-point plan recently presented by our health spokesman Gerhard Kaniak, which could eliminate the shortage of doctors in the health system. A trend reversal could be initiated with this plan to remedy the shortage of staff in public health care,” explained Belakowitsch and continued: “There is no need for further waves of burdens, but massive tax cuts up to the complete suspension of VAT on staple foods, energy and fuels, including abolition the pointless CO2 ‘penalty tax’.”
