FPÖ-Murlasits: Liar Baron Hergovich's nose is getting longer and longer

Red fake news is just embarrassing

St. Pölten (OTS) – “The terrible Sven makes even the baron of lies green with envy,” comments FPÖ state party secretary Alexander Murlasits on the fake news outpouring from the red party headquarters in Lower Austria. It is simply wrong that new board positions are being filled at NÖVOG. It is also wrong that there was no management at the Lower Austria Railways to date. “No corporation can function without a management board. Of course, there was also a management at the Lower Austria Railways. There are basically no board positions at NÖVOG because it is not a corporation. Clearly Mr. Hergovich won his economics degree in the lottery. Under Hergovich’s weak leadership, the SPÖ Lower Austria continues to degenerate into an embarrassing Rumpelstiltskin troupe. “It has nothing to do with proper work for the population,” says Murlasits.

So for Mr. Hergovich to take notes again: After the end of the three-year period, the NÖVOG supervisory board had to be re-elected by the general meeting in accordance with the articles of association. This is the usual procedure. All members of the Supervisory Board appointed by the General Meeting (7 people) have technical expertise, competence and know-how in the area of NÖVOG’s agenda or have already served on the Supervisory Board. “Mr Hergovich can only dream of the expertise and professional competence that NÖVOG has with the new supervisory board. As for the accusation of cronyism, Hergovich should ask his friends in Vienna.

The term of office of the management at NÖVOG, which was appointed for five years, has also expired. It was therefore necessary to act and re-tender the management. The number of managing director positions remains the same – so there are no more managing directors than before.

The accusation that trains on the Lower Austrian Railways are no longer on time is also demonstrably false. “The Lower Austria Railways are a model company. This is confirmed not only by the unique passenger record, but also by customer satisfaction. Other railway companies can learn a lesson from the quality and performance that the Lower Austria Railways offer,” says Murlasits.

When Hergovich accuses the Lower Austrian Transport Council of all people of the ÖBB delays and train cancellations, then it’s just more embarrassing. “He should contact his SPÖ bigwigs and friends at the ÖBB, who are lagging behind the performance offensive in Lower Austria and are apparently overwhelmed by the best offer of all time – he can do that, as is usual in the SPÖ, in the SPÖ allotment that has been rededicated in Vienna over oysters and champagne,” says Murlasits.
