The matter is a little reminiscent of the ÖVP shredding affair. An employee of the then Chancellor Sebastian Kurz had had hard drives from the Chancellery destroyed – under a false name and without paying the bill. One might also think of the “There is nothing more” said by the Deputy General Secretary under Kurz, Gaby Schwarz. In a press conference, she informed the corruption hunters that they would search unsuccessfully in the event of a raid.
