Only the FPÖ and its partners stand for peace, freedom and a vibrant democracy, free from the influence of centralized power and media manipulation
Vienna (OTS) – The FPÖ’s leading candidate for the EU election, Harald Vilimsky, addressed almost a thousand Italians at a meeting of the Identity and Democracy Party (ID) in Rome to the European patriots and sharply criticized the current EU policy under the Leadership by Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. “The system of political venality and the rampant EU madness must be stopped. The fight against this is now entering a decisive phase. Together we will stop this madness with strong results with our partners.”
At the meeting in Rome there were, among other things, speeches from Lega boss Matteo Salvini, the chairman of the Portuguese Chega Andre Ventura, who achieved a huge success in the election with almost 20 percent, and a video message from Marine Le Pen. Also on the list of speakers the presidential candidate in the US primaries Vivek Ramaswamy.
Vilimsky pointed out that today’s political alliance of European patriots – an alliance that was formed over ten years ago and has gone through hard times – is a symbol of imperturbability and strength in the face of the attacks of the political left, the elites, the corporations and the EU -powerful. “It is this spirit of friendship and shared conviction that makes us stronger than anyone else,” emphasized Vilimsky.
The FPÖ top candidate was concerned about developments in the EU under von der Leyen’s leadership. He accused her of being part of a “centralist elite project” that endangers European values and the sovereignty of nations. “They have profited from the pandemic and are now preparing the European energy market for American liquefied natural gas. “The current events in Ukraine are just another example of the corrupt machinations that threaten our values and our future,” said Vilimsky.
Vilimsky emphasized that the FPÖ’s goal is to preserve Europe’s cultural plurality and to fight against illegal migration and the abuse of asylum rights. In this context, he praised Matteo Salvini for his actions against illegal migration as Italy’s then Interior Minister and thanked him on behalf of Europe. “We fight against all types of illegal migration and abuse of asylum rights. And if the Capitano (Matteo Salvini, note) as the then Interior Minister fended off the illegal fleets from Arabia and Africa, even if this judiciary here didn’t like it – thank you Matteo for your commitment. Thank you on behalf of Europe! We are proud of you and always will be,” Vilimsky said
The liberal top candidate called for opposing the “rule of large companies and corporations” and for an economy that benefits small and medium-sized businesses. “The fight we are waging today is a fight for our children and grandchildren, for our cultures and countries, which nowhere in the world shine with such diversity, beauty and power,” said Vilimsky.
Vilimsky reiterated the ID Group’s commitment to peace, freedom and a vibrant democracy, free from the influence of centralized power and media manipulation, and called for a Europe of peoples and nations. This also requires a solidarity with a republican USA that is fighting with us in the fight against globalization, war and the escalation of woke ideologies, said Vilimsky, who was pleased in this context that the well-known US Republican Vivek Ramaswamy was speaking today was also on board this event as a prominent speaker.
