Fran Rivera Honors His Family Bullfighting Lineage
Fran Rivera recalled how his family’s name has been linked to the world of the bull for generations. He described the lineage as the source from which everyone who ever dreamed of being a bullfighter has drunk, adding a heartfelt expression of gratitude and a declaration of love for his roots. Kiko Rivera Returns Paquirri Heirlooms to His Brother
The reflection also evokes the heavy personal history carried by the bullfighter, whose childhood was marked by the death of his father, Francisco Rivera Pérez, after suffering a grave gore in the bullring of Pozoblanco in Córdoba on September 26, 1984, when Fran was ten years old. Recently, that connection to his father was reinforced when his brother Kiko Rivera delivered two bull heads belonging to Paquirri that had remained in Cantora, fulfilling years of waiting to recover part of the inheritance left behind by their father. The recovery of these pieces allows him to keep the memory of Paquirri closer and preserve a tangible part of his legacy, which he will also be able to share with his four children, Tana, Carmen, Curro and Nicolás.
