For this 2nd edition, the jury rewarded A Plague Tale, Requiem. This video game follows the adventures of Amicia and her younger brother Hugo De Rune, which began in A Plague Tale, Innocence where together in 14th century France they fought to escape the Inquisition, the Black Death, while battling the mysterious evil that had befallen the boy.
In this new opus, A Plague Tale, Requiem, Amicia goes in search of the remedy that will cure her younger brother. But soon forced to flee again, the sister and the brother place all their hopes in an enigmatic island, off the coast of Provence.
A Plague Tale, Requiem thus succeeds Humankindwinner of the first edition.
