Free refuses a commercial gesture despite a long mobile network bug

Their mobile phones no longer pick up the network in Culmont, where they live. From the end of May until the end of July. One of the private subscribers of the service he was paying for demanded a “commercial gesture”. Today that it goes better, Free says no.

Without a mobile network in Culmont where they live (jhm daily of July 28), these subscribers had called Free’s teleoperators. Who always answered them very kindly. And invited to remove the SIM cards from their mobiles before putting them back, to change them, to reset their phones, to check their settings… to also wait because the technicians “were on it”. What comfort them in their idea of the origin of the sudden telephone bug which affected them: they thought breakdown, on the level of the antenna of Chaudenay. On June 29, the operator replied by e-mail to the registered mail of the most pugnacious of these subscribers who all continued to pay for a service that was not rendered: his request would be processed “as soon as possible”, without saying anything about a possible commercial gesture, which had been jointly requested of him. At the end of July, statements supported the thesis of a faulty cellular network in Culmont.

On August 9, the catchy subscriber re-sent a registered letter to ask for compensation again. The operator replied on August 15, the recipient received his letter on Tuesday August 23, now that the network seems to be restored. “After studying your file, it appears that you benefit from a functional line”. The tough subscriber learns that “Free has not detected any anomaly on its network or on its equipment”. The pompom remained to read: “the recovery is due to manipulations made by you on your mobile. Therefore, no refund can be granted in this regard. At least the conclusion is more explicit than the allusion to this famous “recovery”.
