Freestyle skiing: Ragettli 2nd in Stubai, Höfflin 6th – rts.ch

Globe holder in the discipline, Andri Ragettli took 2nd place in the Stubai/AUT competition at the opening of the Slopestyle World Cup. No Swiss podium on the other hand for the ladies, Sarah Höfflin having finished 6th in an event won by the Norwegian Johanne Killi.

Fourth in the Big Air in Chur at the end of October, Ragettli collected 87.38 points for his excellent second “run”. Enough to get ahead in particular of the Beijing Olympic champion Alexander Hall (4th) but not the Norwegian Birk Ruud, winner with 88.96 points after having already triumphed in Chur.

Absent in Chur, the Genevan Sarah Höfflin did not sign an exploit on the Austrian snow. The 2018 Olympic champion in the specialty obtained 73.22 points for her 2nd run, missing the podium by less than 4 points due to a last jump not good enough.

Gremaud “broken”

2022 Olympic champion in the discipline, Gremaud had also forfeited before qualifying. “Nothing serious but I needed to give up this competition for my body to recover, I felt a little broken latelys”, wrote on Instagram the Fribourgeoise, 3rd in Chur.
