The French will pay more for their electricity from next month. According to our information, the government has decided to apply a 10% increase in regulated electricity sale prices from 1 August.

This will apply to all consumers whose consumption is less than 36 kVA (households, traders, artisans, small VSEs, etc.). It will represent an average additional cost of just over 160 euros per year. The average electricity bill, which today is around 1,640 euros, will therefore increase to just over 1,800 euros for households that heat themselves with electricity.
