The Ukrainian developer studio Frogwares is mainly known for its large repertoire of Sherlock Holmes video games, or for the Lovecraft adventure The Sinking City famous. And the atmosphere remains the same with the studio, because as Frogwares has now announced, a new mystery horror game is currently in development, which should await us in the summer. Under the name of Project Palianytsia the title should once once more take us into an adventure with Eldritch horror and Victorian motifs.
But there is also a political message behind the new project. Frogwares chose the name on purpose, as the pronunciation of the Russian population is often difficult, which is why it is currently used a lot in Ukraine as a test to determine who the other person belongs to. The game was not originally planned as the new project, but was chosen as a more streamlined alternative due to changed circumstances due to the war.
For Frogwares, who are also currently working in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, it embodies the message “We’ll keep going!” There hasn’t been a trailer yet, but there have been a few concept art published for you to see. The platforms for which Projekt Palianytsia is to be released are also still unknown. More information will follow soon.
