A young citizen was able to realize his dream of obtaining a master’s degree in robotics and smart systems, with a scholarship from the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals Fund.
The young Thamer bin Khamis said that he had great motives for education, as well as the will, patience and faith in God Almighty to achieve his dream, according to Al-Arabiya.
He pointed out that he started his work as a security guard in 2014, when he was in the second grade of secondary school, where he worked as a security guard in the Maternity and Children Hospital in Dammam of King Fahd Specialist Hospital, and during that he began to learn English.
He indicated that he was aspiring to study engineering, but his group did not qualify him to achieve this, so he returned to work again, but the dream of studying continued to haunt him, so he decided to join Prince Muhammad bin Fahd University in Al-Khobar, and he also worked on the “Sar” railway in order to provide the necessary money for his studies.
He added that he majored in electrical engineering, and he kept trying several times to achieve his dream, and in 2020 he received an exemption from fees from His Highness Prince Muhammad bin Fahd by dropping the fees for a full term, after which he was supported until he graduated with a second honors degree, and after his graduation, he applied to the University of King Fahd Petroleum and Minerals and accepted a scholarship specializing in robotics and intelligent autonomous systems, and was eventually able to obtain a master’s degree.
