It’s less than five months until the Nati play Cameroon, Brazil and Serbia in Qatar. It’s time to take a breather for the last time after the long season and the exhausting Nations League games against the Czech Republic, Spain and Portugal.
Many Nati stars like Yann Sommer, Manuel Akanji or Noah Okafor are drawn to Greece. Others like Haris Seferovic or Ricardo Rodriguez fly to the Maldives. Defenders Kevin Mbabu and Fabian Schär are recovering in Puglia (Italy). Juventus player Denis Zakaria, who is traveling with Breel Embolo, joins superstars Paulo Dybala and Paul Pogba on vacation in Miami.
Earlier start of the season
Now it starts again for most of the players at their clubs. Preparation, time to sweat. The Bundesliga and Premier League already start the new season on the first weekend in August because it will be interrupted for the World Cup in November and December. In Italy and Spain it starts a week later.
Until then, it is also possible that one or the other national star will change clubs. Manuel Akanji from Borussia Dortmund, Noah Okafor from Red Bull Salzburg and Kevin Mbabu from Wolfsburg are hot candidates, for example.
