From Ventspils to Liepene it will take an hour longer to travel

Construction work is currently underway on 29 sites, most of them on regional roads. Drivers are asked to pay attention to traffic arrangements, follow road signs and instructions, and adhere to temporary traffic lights and other traffic rules.

This week the number of temporary traffic lights on the Ventspils-Kolka regional highway (P124) from Ventspils to Liepene has increased to seven, and driving through this 10-kilometer repair section will take almost an hour.

On the Kotseni-Limbazhi-Tuja state road (P11), in the section from Umurga to Iesalkai, traffic controllers organize traffic in three sections along one lane. The speed limit is 70 and 50 km/h. The estimated time to cross the repair area is 45 minutes.

On the Incukalns-Ropazi-Ikskile (P10) section of the road from Kangari to Tinuzi there are five reversible sections, as well as speed limits of 70 and 50 km/h. The estimated time to cross the repair area is 40 minutes.

Traffic is regulated by traffic lights on the Kandava-Saldus highway (P109) from Zemite to Kapukrogs in four sections. The speed is limited to 50 km/h, and the estimated time to complete the repair phase is 30-35 minutes.

On the Skrunda-Aizpute highway section (P117) after Kazdanga there are three traffic light sections and a speed limit of 50 km/h. The estimated time to complete the repair section is half an hour.

On the Ilukste (Virsaishi)-Bebrene-Birži (P72) road section from Mazslati to Zasa there are three traffic light sections, as well as a speed limit of 70 and 50 km/h, so you should plan to spend 25 minutes crossing this section of the road.

At the same time, on the section of the Smiltene-Valka highway (P24) from Smiltene to the Blome-Birzuli-Palsmane highway (V243), in three sections traffic is regulated by traffic lights, and the speed limit is 70 and 50 km/h. The estimated time to cross the repair area is 20 minutes.
