From this Monday, October 2, the Casino group will offer its fuel at cost price during the week. This commitment is in addition to that of Carrefour and E.Leclerc.
A new boost. Last Tuesday, the government received major retail players to address the situation in the fuel market. The objective: to think collectively about how to offer price reductions to the French during times of inflation.
The Casino group then explained that it was committed to “cost price” operations for weekends only. Finally, the brand will join E.Leclerc and Carrefour who have been applying this offer every day since Friday.
An operation until the end of the year
This operation led by the Casino group will begin this Monday, October 2 and end on December 31. The brand has indicated that the offer will concern diesel and Unleaded 95. LPG and Superethanol-E85 will thus be excluded.
In total, more than 80 service stations (details available HERE) will be affected by these price reductions at the pump. They are added, among others, to the 750 of the E.Leclerc group.
The Prime Minister arranged to meet all the participants at the beginning of December to take stock of the situation. “Nearly 120,000 operations” in 4,000 stations until the end of the year are planned, according to Matignon.
