It’s as big as a ping-pong ball, but it’s capable of many wonders. The Instax Pal is one of Fujifilm’s latest flagship instant cameras but also one of the most surprising.

To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Instax is going back to basics. With its tiny dimensions (4 x 4.3 cm approximately for 40 g), the Instax Pal contains only the bare minimum: a 3 megapixel sensor with its wide-angle lens, a mini speaker, a microphone, a flash, a port for microSD card, a shooting button and a USB-C port for recharging the battery.

How does the Instax Pal work?

Very simply: we aim, we shoot and that’s it. With this product, Fuji focuses on the instinctive side of photography.

For users wishing to have a preview before shooting, a companion application offers this possibility. It is also via this app that you can access the photo gallery. You will then have to print these photos later or have them developed. So not really instantaneous.

To rediscover the sensations of the instant, it will also be necessary get an Instax printer. The device automatically syncs with the printer and a photo is developed instantly, just after pressing the shutter button.

Everywhere, all the time

The Instax Pal is therefore designed to be carried everywhere. Its dimensions allow it to be slipped into a backpack, handbag or simply a pocket.

Fujifilm accompanies the snapshot with a small ring allowing it to be attached to a bag or belt. This accessory also serves as a support for taking still photos or to fit on top of the camera to act as a viewfinder.
