The theme activities for Qingming Festival were held at the former residence of renowned general Fan Shisheng in Puji Street, Wuhua District, Kunming City on April 3. The event started with the flag bearers and flag bearers walking to the passionate song played by Lianjia Primary School’s Drum Team. The leader in charge of Phuket Street stated that the sacrifice and boundary activities of the Qingming Festival are significant events to remember our deceased loved ones. The event concluded with an initiative issued by the street called “Civilized Worship Green Qingming,” encouraging residents to increase greenery, plant trees and enjoy a safe, and green Qingming Festival. The event was hosted by Wuhua District New Era Civilization Practice Center, the Wuhua District Civilization Office, and co-organized by other community organizations involved in the project.
On April 3, the theme activities of “Civilized Sacrifice, Remembrance of the Martyrs, Establishing a New Style of Qingming” and “Our Festival Qingming Festival” in Puji Street, Wuhua District, Kunming City were held at the former residence of the patriotic general Fan Shisheng.
Accompanied by the passionate and solemn flag-raising song of the Drum Team of Lianjia Primary School, the flag-bearers and flag-bearers walked with sonorous steps, and the event officially kicked off. “Tomb-sweeping Day is an important festival that bears the mourning of the deceased. During the event, the young pioneers recited “To the Martyrs” in unison with reverence. Their emotions were sincere and their voices were full of emotion, which infected everyone on the scene. After the recitation, all the young pioneers raised their right fists to solemnly swear, and the loud and neat voice resounded through the audience.
“General Fan Shisheng studied medicine as a young man, abandoned his pen and joined the army as a young man, was admitted to the Yunnan Army Lecture Hall, met Cai E, Zhu De and a group of teachers and friends who were worried about the world and had the courage to dedicate themselves, and then participated in the Revolution of 1911 and the Movement to Protect the Country , the Law Protection Movement, the Northern Expedition…” After mourning the patriotic generals, the Young Pioneers led the visitors to review the heroic deeds of General Fan Shisheng’s patriotism for the people, leading them to accept revolutionary traditional education and arousing their patriotic feelings.
