Galaxy S22 system update fails

Geekbench recently announced that the Galaxy S22, S21, S20 and S10 series will be delisted because the Game Optimizing Service (GOS) of these phones limits the performance of over 10,000 programs in order to extend battery life and prevent overheating. The user cannot manually shut down the GOS service.

The Korea Herald reported yesterday that the local Fair Trade Commission is expected to investigate Samsung for violating laws. The house leaked and it rained overnight. Another South Korean media “Yonhap News Agency” stated that South Korean Galaxy S22 users are preparing to sue Samsung in a class action on the grounds of distorting the function of the mobile phone. Korean Won (equivalent to HK$1,902).

After the GOS incident broke out, Samsung once said that it would allow users to control GOS-related functions by launching a system update, but this approach seems to have failed to make the Galaxy S22 re-list on Geekbench, nor to the relevant authorities to cancel the investigation.
