SEOUL, 30 Jan. (Yonhap) — The unveiling of a new flagship smartphone series from Samsung Electronics Co., Galaxy 23, is imminent with its “Unpacked 2023” event scheduled for February 1 (US time) in San Francisco, US. . The eyes of observers will be fixed on the performance of these smartphones, considered as ambitious works of the electronic giant.
These new smartphones will be 100% equipped with a state-of-the-art processor, the 2nd generation of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8, with a resolutely sophisticated optical sensor, ISOCELL HP2 for better performance, and the reinforced glass marketed by Corning since last November. , Gorilla glass victus 2, will be integrated for an increase in resistance.
Roh Tae-moon, head of Samsung’s smartphone division (MX), made a self-assessment of this Galaxy S23 series by talking about “products more focused on our basic and indispensable experiences in daily life”, adding that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be the best of the best.
According to the forecasts of a German media specialized in the ICT sector, WinFuture, the three models of the Galaxy S23 will have a Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with 6.1 inches for the basic model, S23, 6.6 inches for S23+ and 6.8 inches for S23 Ultra. In addition, the brightness of the screens will amount to 1,750 nits with a frequency of 120 Hz.
For RAM, the S23 and S23+ models will be equipped with 8 GB of RAM as well as 12 GB for the Ultra model. The internal memories will be 128 GB and 256 GB for S23 as well as 256 GB and 512 GB for the S23+. The Micro SD slot will not be available for the series. For the Ultra model, a choice of 3 memories will be offered: 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB.
Battery capacities will be 3,900 mA (S23), 4,700 mA (S23+) and 5,000 mA (S23 Ultra) while an S Pen stylus will be integrated into the Ultra model. Four colors will be available for the series: Phantom Black, Botanic Green, Mystic Lilac and Cotton Flower.
The prices will be higher compared to the previous series. A general increase of 150,000 won (about 112 euros) would be provided for all models. According to WinFuture’s estimate, prices for the Galaxy S23 series in Europe are expected to be 949 Euros (S23), 1,119 Euros (S23+) and 1,399 Euros (S23 Ultra).
