A Gangnam plastic surgeon suspected of providing drugs to actor Lee Sun-kyun (48) was arrested by the police.
The Incheon Police Agency’s metropolitan investigation unit announced on the 20th that it arrested plastic surgeon A (42) on charges of psychotropic drugs under the law on drug management.
Kim Seong-soo, chief judge in charge of warrants at the Incheon District Court, conducted an interrogation of the suspect (substantive warrant review) prior to Mr. A’s arrest this afternoon and issued an arrest warrant, saying, “There is a risk that he may escape or destroy evidence.”
Mr. A is accused of providing drugs to Mr. Lee and others through Mr. B (29), the manager of a Gangnam entertainment establishment who has already been arrested.
Mr. A made himself known by appearing on a general programming channel’s health program in the past, and the hospital he previously ran even received an award at a health awards ceremony hosted by a media company.
The Incheon Police Agency investigated or internally investigated a total of 10 people, including Mr. A and actor Lee, on drug-related charges.
Among them, singer G-Dragon (35, real name Kwon Ji-yong) was not sent to the case with ‘no charges’.
