Gasoline prices hit another high at the pump

Maximum gasoline prices will rise once more on Thursday at the pump to reach a new record.

According to the FPS Economy, the maximum price of 95 RON E10 petrol will be 2.1380 euros per liter (+0.121 euro), a level never seen in Belgium.

The price of 98 RON E10 gasoline will reach 2.3700 euros per liter (+0.183 euro).

The maximum prices for diesel fuel (heating application) are also up: to 1.3932 euro per liter (+0.0512 euro) for less than 2,000 liters and to 1.3613 euro per liter (+0.0512 euro) at from 2,000 liters.

These increases are the consequence of the recent surge in oil prices. A barrel (159 liters) of Brent from the North Sea is currently priced at more than 116 dollars.
