According to our colleagues from MacRumorsApple plans to add several products to its list of obsolete products within a month, including the iPhone 4S.
At the end of this month of June 2022, the iPhone 4S will have the status of obsolete product. Indeed, the date of marketing of the iPhone 4S dates back more than 7 years. As a reminder, Apple announced the iPhone 4S in October 2011 as the first device equipped with Siri. The device featured a similar design to the iPhone 4, with a 3.5-inch display, A5 chip, 30-pin dock connector and 8-megapixel rear camera.
Apple no longer performs hardware repairs on obsolete products, except for Mac notebooks that are eligible for a battery-only repair for an additional period. Apple Authorized Service Centers cannot order parts for obsolete products.
In addition to the iPhone 4S, we might find on this list the iPad Pro as well as the Apple TV HD.
