Gasoline shortage: here are the 3 departments affected by restrictions

As refinery strikes continue, some departments have decided to put restrictions in place to avoid shortages.

A way to save time? Several departments have implemented prefectural measures to limit access to pumps to protect themselves from a possible shortage, possible due to strikes in connection with the pension reform.

The Vaucluse

The department of Vaucluse has announced a fuel supply restriction. Thus, until Monday March 27 inclusive, the sale of fuel is limited to 30 liters for private vehicles.

The gauge is increased to 120 liters for heavy goods vehicles. Vehicles “of public services or those of companies providing a public service mission” are not affected by the limitations, specifies the press release from the prefecture.

The Gard

Fuel restrictions also concern the Gard department. In a press release, the prefecture announced that the measures have already been extended until next Monday at midnight.

In its press release, the Gard prefecture announced in particular the ban “on the filling of jerrycans or other manually transportable containers” in the stations.

Le Was

In the Var, the fuel supply is limited to 30 liters for light vehicles, 200 liters for heavy goods vehicles and 400 liters for tractor-trailers, until Wednesday March 29 inclusive.

Eight service stations have also been reserved for filling priority vehicles, such as in Toulon and Fréjus, can we read in the press release from the Var prefecture.

It is also forbidden to fill cans of gasoline until March 29 inclusive, in the department.
