The right defends the Ettlin motion against the minimum wage
Bourgeois deputies of the National and economic circles are delighted with a decision “restoring the social partnership”.
These are the big winners of the week. The right-wing Geneva national councilors secured an important victory on Wednesday. Their vote narrowly validated (65 yes against 63 no) the Ettlin motion, which enshrines the primacy of collective labor agreements (CCT) over cantonal laws. For Geneva, this means the end of the minimum wage at 23 francs an hour in several branches.
