Mayor Gustavo Gennuso promoted, 40 days before leaving his Government, four ordinance projects to deliver 99 lots of public lands to four unions in Bariloche and this measure generated the discomfort of the party of Walter Cortés whose representative in the Council warned that they will review the lists of successful bidders to “not to hand over public lands to leaders and friends of this government.”

The four unions appeared today in the Municipal Council room to ask councilors to expedite the approval of the projects that were formally introduced last week, on October 24.

Del Río made reference to the list of 5000 people recorded in the demand register of the Land and Housing Institute and recalled that from the municipality “they always told us that there were no public lands for subdivisions and now, mysteriously, 30 days before leaving, this type of project comes in.”
The president of the council, Natalia Almonacid (JSRN), was surprised by the tenor of Del Río’s accusations and stressed the seriousness of his expressions. “You should file a complaint,” she told him and the councilor replied that he should not worry: “Whatever we have to do we are going to do, we are working on it.”
