The travel restrictions of recent years may have further strengthened the eternal longing for the south. After all, it can’t be a coincidence that in the pop music of our latitudes, Rainhard Fendrich’s old praise of bathing at the Viennese caretaker beach Gänsehäufel has receded into the background instead of a trip down the “Strada del sole”.
