German travel agencies have also chosen Morocco to organize part of their annual meeting. The German Association of Tour Operators (Der Deutscher Reiseverband, DRV), one of the main European associations of tour operators, will hold two meetings, one in Berlin and the other in Taghazout, north of Agadir, at the beginning of December, reports the Spanish media hostel door.

“This year, the meeting will be split in two: for the first time, the annual conference of the association of German tour operators and agencies will not only take place in one destination abroad, but in two places explains DRV, noting that the dates and partner country for the two-part event have already been set.

Thus, on October 13 and 14, the DRV annual meeting, including the general assembly, will take place in Berlin, while a part will also be held in Morocco, in Taghazout, from December 1 to 4. The Titanic Hotel Chausseestrasse in Berlin will host the two-day event. In the fishing village of Taghazout, well known to surfers, the conference will take place at the Fairmont Taghazout Bay hotel, and the stay will be complemented by many parties, adds the same source.

“The host country will be the protagonist of the congress and the destination workshops. Of course, the important topics of industry policy and travel sales will also be covered in this program.

Hosteltur recalls that the association of British travel agencies and operators ABTA also announced last week that it will organize its annual event “The Travel Convention” this year in Marrakech.
